About Skilz School
Trust & safety — first question parents ask
Our Skilz School after-school programme
Skilz School runs at a consistent Cape Town venue on Field B. That means predictable facilities, clear safeguarding expectations, and a structured environment families can rely on week after week.
For parents, this gives practical confidence: defined location, stable routines, and straightforward communication throughout the term.

Our story
The Shosholoza Skilz School was created to give primary-age players a dedicated space to learn football the right way — with patience, structure, and joy. We are rooted in community and built around families who want more than “just afternoon babysitting”: they want a pathway that respects childhood while developing real skill.
Over time we have grown into a programme that pairs on-field sessions with tools that help parents stay informed and involved, so training doesn't stop when the session ends.
What children gain (beyond kicking a ball)
We believe every child deserves to feel capable on the ball and proud of their effort. Our environment is encouraging, age-appropriate, and focused on long-term development rather than short-term results.
- Playful seriousness — hard work with a smile.
- Respect for the person first, then the player.
- Small-sided games and lots of touches — learning by doing.
- Parents as partners in the journey, not spectators only.
Safeguarding & coaching standards
Sessions are led by coaches who work within the programme's structure and expectations. We treat attendance, communication, and boundary-setting seriously — including clear lines for how parents, players, and staff interact on site and through the Parent Portal.
Specific coach bios, certifications, and DBS / safeguarding documentation can be shared on request through admin@skilzschool.com. On the The Programme page you'll find facilitator profiles as we publish them.
